Tonight ends in the City of Durban on the Southern Coast in the Kwazulu-Natal Province, but with only one of us still here in South Africa. Today was the day Becky had to return home. The day began in Zambia at the Zambezi Sun Resort where we awoke early to view the Falls one last time. The previous evening had been a bit stressful since a bag of Becky's medication had come up missing. We had been looking at luggage at a shop in the Jo'burg airport (and "trying it out" by stuffing some things in the pockets) and were fairly sure that's where they were. But missed dosages are bad and it was still quite uncertain if that's where we left them or that they would be there upon our return. To not leave you in suspense, the medicine was recovered, untouched, still in the bag's side pocket. So, excitement aside, we made our way to the Falls one last time and were greeted with a whole new side of the Falls, seen only in the morning light.

The rainbows were amazing, creating an even more magical site than the we had seen the previous evening.

The morning light also seemed to bring more brightness and fullness to the Falls. Had we seen this much of the falls last night?

All in all, it was a treat to see the falls one last time, especially in it's morning majesty. But, alas, we had crammed this part of the trip in at the last minute and we had a flight to catch only 24 hours after arriving.
We said goodbye to the Resort ...

... made our way back across the border into Zimbabwe and flew to Johannesburg. Here, Becky boarded a flight to New York and I, a flight to Durban.
Tomorrow morning it's off to the Drakensburg Mountains and the Sani Pass.
Until then,
Rachel

Helllooooo, Rachel! Love the blog and love following your travels; however, I fail to see mention of an impending trip to go cage diving with Great White Sharks! Is that a simple omission?? :)
